Chicago American Veterans for Equal Rights honor gay veterans

LGBT veterans were honored by Chicago's American Veterans for Equal Rights ( AVER ) chapter on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11.

Keynote speaker at the 17th annual Veteran's Day Dinner was Lt. LeAnna Bradley, who is trangendered and had served 37 years for the military and has two Purple Hearts.

Bradley and others among the fifty-plus group appeared in uniform. Happy Warrior Awards were given to Bradley, Ed Wosylus, travis and Ed Zasadil.
