Jose Zuniga spoke last week at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted, on the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network's ( SLDN's ) ongoing work with the president and Congress to build support for repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Zuniga was 1993 6th Army Soldier of the Year when he was discharged under the ban on gays serving in the military and is an SLDN board member. Todd Connor, a veteran and an out candidate for the office of Metropolitan Water Reclamation Commissioner, also spoke to the group.
